Community Foundations & Trust

It is estimated that there are over 10,000 charitable trusts and foundations in the UK who give away an estimated £2billion per year in grants. Most trusts derive their income for an endowment. Their primary purpose is to give away the money through making grants to the specific cause they support in the voluntary and community sector.

Community foundations are charitable trusts that support local community causes. Their role is to manage donor funds and build endowments as well as make grants to charities and community groups, linking local donors with local needs.

Community Support

Support from the Community is vital to all charities and we are particularly grateful to the volunteers from community groups who faithfully raise funds for us each year. This may be the lady who hosts a Cuppa & Cupcake party for us at her local church; the Allotment Association who sell the produce from the allotment; a group of friends who organise a Jazz Night or runners who enter the British 10k London Run. Every event raises awareness of how we support Carers and every penny donated makes a real difference in the life of a Carer.

Partnership Working

We believe in ‘giving back’ to those organisations and individuals that support us.  So, it’s important to us to find out how we can work with you.

There are many ways in which your organisation can support us including: making a donation, nominating us as your Charity of the Year, engaging your employees in fundraising, volunteering or donating gifts in kind.

Make us Charity of the year

If you make us your Charity of the year we will:

  • list you as a corporate partner on our promotional material
  • send you regular updates of how your sponsorship money is being spent
  • Invite you to our Annual General Meeting
  • feature you in our bi-annual Newsletter
  • highlight your involvement to the local media to generate positive publicity about your organisation
  • promote your services to our 200 staff

Carol-singers-Supporters

As a registered Charity we rely upon the support of individuals and companies to continue the vital work we do supporting unpaid Carers and their families in Surrey.

Although we always need to raise general funds to cover our costs, we appreciate that it’s often hugely motivational to raise funds for a specific project for example the start-up costs of a new social club. To enquire about sponsoring a project please email us on enquiries@crossroadscaresurrey.org.uk or 01372 869970.

Menzies staff present cheque to Crossroads Care Surrey

Menzies LLP staff have had great fun raising the funds of £4,500 donated to Crossroads Care Surrey. The staff at our Heathrow office have had mufti days, cake sales, a charity quiz, for clients & contacts, and have run a staff health club. We have also donated the prize money that we collected from winning ‘Best Dress Duck’ in Staines Upon Thames Day 2016.
