Our aims and objectives

In Surrey there are over 100,000 people providing unpaid care for relatives or friends who have serious disabilities. Many of them are on call "24/7", sometimes for years on end. This can be a real drain on the carer's physical and mental health.

Crossroads Care Surrey is the leading charity providing support to carers in the county. A 'carer' is someone who looks after a relative or friend with a significant health condition or disability, ranging from an older person with dementia to a child with cerebral palsy.

Our aim is to give carers some precious time for themselves by providing them with regular breaks from their caring responsibilities.

Why not take on an overseas challenge for Crossroads Care Surrey

china

Have you ever wanted to do something out of the ordinary that you will remember forever? We have a fantastic variety of trek and cycle challenges around the globe allowing you to take on the challenge of a lifetime whilst raising money for Crossroads Care Surrey at the same time.

How about a trek in Peru or China, or a cycle trip in Vietnam or India to name just a few?

Or perhaps a challenge closer to home?

If you are looking for a challenge closer to home then how about a skydive? We can offer tandem, solo or even group skydives at a centre close to you, 365 days of the year. So if you want to mark a special birthday or anniversary and amaze your family and friends then we can help you.

For more details on any of our incredible UK and worldwide challenges, please contact our fundraising team by emailing fundraising@crossroadscaresurrey.org.uk or calling 01483 793737.

Third AGM November 2011

The third annual general meeting of Surrey Crossroads Limited was held at Cobham Village Hall on 14 November 2011. The Chairman, Jim Scudamore welcomed everybody and briefly went over the history of the merger of the previous six schemes. This was followed by the treasurer's report given by David Bond and a presentation by Sara Woodcock of Action for Carers, Surrey. The event was convened by the Worshipful, the Mayor of the Borough of Elmbridge, Cllr. John Sheldon.
