Crossroads Care Surrey, the leading provider of respite breaks to unpaid Carers in Surrey, is delighted to announce the launch of their Chobham Saturday Club at the Chobham Parish Pavilion, Chobham. Councillor Joanne Potter, 43rd Mayor of Surrey Heath will open the Club on Saturday, 8th August at 2 pm. In keeping with Crossroads Care Surrey’s philosophy of providing a safe, stimulating, social setting the theme of the afternoon will be “bringing the seaside to the Club”. This new community based service will run every Saturday from 11am – 3pm for adults with varying disabilities, general health needs and 1st stage dementia.
Sheila Hargreave, Surrey Adult Clubs & Volunteer Co-ordinator, Crossroads Care Surrey, said “We are very excited about the opening of our new Club for Adults with care needs at the Chobham Parish Pavilion. It will give Carers the opportunity to have an extended respite break on a Saturday whilst their loved one enjoys a fun, stimulating social event. We appreciate how welcoming and supportive members of the local community have been whilst we have been setting up our group, especially Nigel Drury the Community Connector for the Diocese of Guildford and Surrey Heath Borough Council.” If you are a Carer who would be interested in attending please contact Sheila Hargreave on 07783018391.
Crossroads Care Surrey currently runs 14 Adults Social Clubs across Surrey, for adults with varying disabilities including dementia.
